ATTENTION!

This is NOT a proper medical device

Please do not put your health at even further risk with this contraption and acquire yourself a proper assistive device

A lightweight and practical 3D-printable crutch attachment designed to fit a standard 24 mm broom handle or tube.

The main body is printed in PLA while the bottom features a TPU-printed anti-slip tip for improved grip and stability on different surfaces.

Frame is easy 1 part to print for added strenght and an anti slip knob is attached to the end as a separate part to avoid supports.

Please do not reorient the frame in slicer.

It is in an optimal angle to achieve greatest strength while being 100% support free.

If the fitting to broom handle / tube is loose it is easily fitted tight in minutes with simply adding masking tape on the tube or other method of your choosing.

Features

  • Fits standard 24 mm handles/tubes that youll need to cut in the proper length for yourself (watch the video at bottom)
  • PLA structural body (can ofcourse be made from tougher materials)
  • TPU anti-slip bottom tip
  • Easy to print and assemble
  • Lightweight construction

Printing Recommendations

  • PLA for the main frame
  • TPU for the foot/grip (95A didnt offer very great friction on hardwood floors and other similar surfaces)
  • >3 wall lines recommended
  • >30% infill for strength
  • Print orientation optimized for load-bearing strength while not requiring any supports

Disclaimer

I sprained my ankle and made an aid for myself because im a stuck up idiot.

This model is intended for hobby, prototyping, and non-certified assistive use only. Always test carefully before applying your body weight.
