Modular Desktop Tool Organizer

This is an expandable, flexible, customizable modular desktop organizer for common maker space tools.

 

It includes square bins (56mm x 56mm) and half-bins (28mm x 56mm) which can be positioned in numerous unique and creative ways to suit the individual maker’s needs.  The bins are held together by clips which are inserted into symmetrical slots located underneath.

 

The various tool organizer inserts, which can be selected and printed as needed, fit snugly into the square or half-bins.  I designed inserts for the tools I currently use, but I also included blank inserts to make it easier for those who want to remix their own custom insert.

 

You can also let me know if you have ideas for new or improved inserts, and I’ll add them to the project.

 

I printed everything in PLA, with no supports.  No hardware is needed for assembly.
