Elmo Kong - – Elmo x King Kong Mashup

Elmo has been hitting the gym…hard. 😄

 

This mashup combines the lovable red monster with the massive muscular build of a giant ape titan for a cursed-but-awesome collectible that prints surprisingly well at display scale (but should look good larger too!). The exaggerated fur texture, oversized arms, and cartoon face make this one a hilarious shelf piece for fans of monster mashups and weird collectible prints.

 

This figure was created using a combination of AI-assisted modeling and traditional 3D editing workflows. I first created the original 2D concept image, then used MakerWorld Image-to-3D to generate multiple 3D versions of the character. After several generations and comparisons, I selected the best render and refined the model further in Blender to improve the final printable result.

 

This model uses two shades of red for extra contrast between the fur and chest details:

• Snapmaker SnapSpeed Red PLA
• 3DHoJor Fire Engine Red PLA

Additional colors used:

• Anycubic PLA+ Black
• Anycubic PLA+ White
• Kingroon Orange PLA

A pause has been built into the print so users with a single AMS can swap the Fire Engine Red for Orange during printing. If you prefer, the model also looks great printed entirely in the brighter red without using the darker chest color.
