Customizable Keychain – Body [Part 1/2]

🔑 Create your own personalized keychain with any text you want!

This is Part 1 of 2 — the keychain body with a precision pocket for the text inlay.

How it works:

Customize the text in both models (use the same settings!)

Print Part 1 (this file) in your main color

Print Part 2 (text inlay) in a contrasting color

Press the inlay into the pocket — no glue, no AMS needed ✅

💡 Tip: Keep your text short for the best result! The font size scales automatically to fit the keychain width — longer words mean smaller, thinner letters. I recommend max. 8–10 characters for clean, bold text that looks great. Short words like "Garage", "Home" or "Office" work best.

Parameters:

text_string — your custom text (must match Part 2!)

width — keychain width in mm (must match Part 2!)

height — narrow side height

thickness — overall depth

font_name — any font available in OpenSCAD

⚠️ Make sure text_string, width, padding_x and height are identical in both parts.
