Never lose track of your plants again! This simple extension lets you attach plant tags and labels directly to your Plant Support System.
A lightweight, modular and reusable plant support system designed specifically for efficient FDM 3D printing.
Build custom support structures for:
This project was designed around:
The goal was not to create the strongest possible garden structure.
Instead, the focus was on creating a system that is:
A future extension project may focus specifically on ultra-compact off-season storage solutions.
The entire system is built around interchangeable connectors and octagonal rods.
You can easily create:
Expand your structure whenever your plants need more support.
Beyond the standard connectors, the project includes several components specifically designed for plant support.
The Plant Connector can be used in two different ways.
A simple piece of filament can be inserted through the connector to create a flexible support loop.
Benefits:
Simply choose the filament length that best fits your plant.
The connector can also be used with the included printable locking strap.
Benefits:
This allows the support loop to be locked at the desired size while remaining easy to reposition later.
The Ground Anchor Rods are designed to increase stability when the structure is installed directly into soil.
Integrated stabilizing fins help:
These anchors become especially useful for taller or expanded configurations.
The octagonal rod design was primarily chosen to:
Most parts can be printed quickly with minimal waste and little or no support material.
Some parts are intentionally positioned at a 45° angle inside the provided print profiles.
This orientation was chosen to improve strength in critical load directions while maintaining efficient support-free printing whenever possible.
For best mechanical resistance:
The included orientations were carefully selected to avoid weak layer directions.
The project was primarily tested in PETG.
For very hot climates or prolonged direct sunlight exposure, I recommend using a light-colored PETG whenever possible.
Why?
I personally use black PETG and it performs well in my current environment, but lighter colors may provide better long-term performance in extreme summer conditions.
The project was primarily tested using PETG.
My personal settings:
These settings already provide very good results for normal garden use.
For:
consider increasing to:
for additional rigidity and durability.
The project includes two customizable parametric files:
Simply click Customize to generate perfectly sized parts for your setup.
This makes it easy to adapt the system to:
The project is organized into several packs:
Perfect for getting started quickly.
Expand structures upward as plants grow.
Connect multiple structures together.
Contains every available component, including additional parts not included in the starter kits.
This project was created to provide a practical, reusable alternative to seasonal plant supports.
Build exactly what you need today.
Expand it tomorrow.
Store it compactly during winter.

🚀 05/06/2026 : New right-angle connector added
I added a new connector to the project: a right-angle connector designed to create 90° connections between rods. 📐
This part can be useful for building more rigid structures, side extensions, or custom shapes — for example when making plant trellises 🌱 or other modular support frames.
