Description
Customizable pipe cap. Can be used for heatpump intakes, pvc pipes, copper pipes and more.
Multiple face designs, any pipe size, any length, any thickness and up to 45 degree angles! It's everything you want and didn't want and so much more!
For outdoor use, use petg filament for extra strength and temperature resistance.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| pipe_preset | Pick a standard BSP or SCH40 pipe size to auto-fill the diameter. Set to Custom to enter your own. |
| pipe_dim_custom | Pipe OD (outside fit) or ID (inside fit) in mm. Only used when pipe_preset = Custom. |
| fit_mode | Outside = sleeve slides over the pipe. Inside = plug inserts into the pipe. |
| tolerance | Radial gap between cap and pipe surface (mm). 0.2mm is a good default; increase if fit is too tight. |
| wall_thickness | Sleeve wall thickness (mm). |
| pipe_overlap | How far the cap grips the pipe (mm). More = more secure. |
| front_face_thickness | End face thickness measured perpendicular to the face surface (mm). |
| front_face_angle | Tilts the end face 0 to 45 degrees. Use 45 for a pipe cut at 45 degrees. The sleeve sticks out at the matching angle. |
| pattern | Cutout pattern on the end face: Solid, Hex, Square, Circles, Triangle, Spokes, or Slotted. |
| elem_count | Number of pattern elements across the face diameter. More = finer pattern. |
| elem_wall | Wall thickness between pattern cutouts (mm). Stay above your printer's minimum wall, typically 0.8 to 1.2mm. |
| spoke_count | Number of spokes. Only applies when pattern = Spokes. |
I made a heat pump intake cover and decided I should just make it parametric for any pipe!
