Description
As my “book counters” collection grew, I knew I needed to create one that mimicked the look of an actual shelf. Once made, I realized that the size of it meant it could become more than a counter, so it morphed into a book nook. However, knowing people may have different preferences, I wanted to keep its ability to just be a counter.
So here it is. The front half is your book tracker, complete hidden with storage at the top for the extra numbers. On the bottom, there are grooves that give it the ability to attach to the optional back-half of the design, where you can store bookmarks, pens, stickers, whatever it is you have in mind. Although its size is hefty enough to support most books and allow it to also function as a bookend, there are also two plates with dedicated “bookend” print options. These feature the back storage compartment along with an attached base that can slide under the books on your shelf, further anchoring the placement so it doesn't slide over from the weight of your books.
This print profile is pretty straight forward, and I have included the original 4-color option, as well as a 2-color option for those of you who want to minimize waste. ANDDD because the gears in my brain are always turning, I am also working on a second version that allows for the front-facing shelf accents to snap on and off, to (1) minimize waste in another way AND (2) allow for customization of the shelves.
