SCX30 2ndGen Toyota Tacoma, Single Cab, Bobbed Bed

2nd Gen Toyota "Taco"ma Single Cab with a Bobbed Bed in 1/30 scale, setup to fit an Axial SCX30. I have a 2012 single cab and scanned and printed it for my SCX30, then realized the rear bed clearance sucked! So I took the file into Fusion and “bobbed” the bed about 10 mm, and half scaled and stitched it back together.

• Version 1.0 (Base) will have the full back of the cab and front of the bed, as well as the floor of the bed, so you can adjust it as needed for mounting as you desire. 
• Version 2.0  will have the negative parts included to create the cab and bed openings to fit the stock electronics and chassis, but you will still need to attach a set of mounts. 
• The third file is a simple set of mounts you can print to attach. The front mount should go just in front of the windshield (see pictures), and the rear mount, if you printed Version 2.0 goes on the vertical flat face in the bed (see pictures). If you printed Version 1.0 the front mount would still work fine, but the rear mount would be blocked by the bed floor. 

The wheel openings are made to fit in a scale way with the stock SCX30 Bronco wheels/tires, so if you are running a larger OD diameter tire, or a wider offset wheel, you may need to get crafty with a hobby blade, sand paper or Dremel. 

 

I printed it using PETG-CF, a 0.4 mm Hardened Nozzle, 0.16 mm layers, and at the angle it should open in (with plenty of supports). Keeps sanding and post print work to a minimum, but if you have suggestions on how to improve it, post it up!
