Star Trek Inspired NFC Tag Holder

I’m a big Star Trek fan, and I wanted a more fun way to control my desk lights.

My desk lighting is automated through HomeKit, and I normally use an NFC tag to trigger my lighting scene. Rather than having a plain NFC sticker sitting on my desk, I designed this Star Trek-inspired NFC tag holder to add a bit of sci-fi flair to my workspace.

Simply place an NFC tag inside the model and program it to trigger your favourite automation. In my case, tapping the model with my phone turns my desk lights on and off.

Printing Instructions

• Add a pause at Layer 14 to insert your NFC tag.
• Resume the print to fully enclose the tag inside the model.
• I used a thin NFC sticker purchased from Amazon, but other similar NFC tags should also work.

Now when I walk into my office, I simply tap the model with my phone and my lights switch on instantly.
