Sora Vase

Inspired by Japanese design principles and the calm simplicity of Japandi interiors, the Sora Vase was created to bring balance, harmony, and natural movement into modern living spaces.

Named after the Japanese word Sora (空), meaning “sky” or “open space,” this vase embodies the sense of tranquility and simplicity found in nature. Its clean silhouette and soft flowing transition between smooth and ribbed surfaces create a subtle visual rhythm that feels both organic and refined.

Rather than relying on sharp geometric separations, I designed the vase with a gentle sweeping line that introduces movement and natural flow. 

The contrast between the smooth upper section and the textured ribbed base adds depth while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.

The result is a timeless decorative piece that complements modern, Scandinavian, and Japandi-inspired interiors alike. 

Whether displayed on its own or filled with dried flowers, the Sora Vase brings a quiet elegance to any space.
