Description
Layer - .16
Infill - 40%
Support - Y
I was interested in getting a spring tamp for my Cafelat Robot and didn't find very many options. I designed this to fit the need. I did have to make a custom spring for this, which I did by cutting a notch in 1 in diameter threaded bolt, then putting 2mm music wire in the notch and spinning it into a spring until I was happy with the size and shape. I did this all by hand, so I am not positive on the pressure. If anyone finds an off the shelf spring, let me know.
You may have to download the STL and mess with the handle. It has been inconsistent if it fits the tamp correctly; if it is too loose I just add a tiny bit of electrical tape and it holds it firmly in place.
This profile is at 40% infill with supports for the little notch for the spring to sit in and printed on a 3d design plate. I will also attach a more standard profile you can switch to with no supports and 20% infill at a .2 layer height. I used a print from draft profile at .24 and it worked just fine, so you may be fine to save the filament.
