Description
This is a playful expansion toolbox for domino rally setups, designed to add more action, height changes, direction changes, and creative possibilities to a standard domino run.
After making a full domino rally set, I wanted to create something that could make the layout more exciting than simply lining up dominoes in a row. The original domino rally set (box of 200 pcs) can be found here:

This toolbox includes a collection of trick blocks, gates, bridges, stairs, direction changers, and alignment tools are for faster and cleaner domino setup process.
This project includes a dedicated storage box designed specifically for the included trick parts, plus a full collection of domino rally accessories:
Build the path.
Add the tricks.
Start the rally.
Watch everything come alive.
Boost MeThe project has been through a lot of testing and revisions. If you find the set a great companion for your family time, or simply like the presentation of the design, a boost is very well appreciated.
The storage box is not just a random container. It was designed specifically around the parts in this set, so each piece has its own place and the whole kit feels organized when packed away.
This makes it easier for kids to clean up after playing, easier to find the right part during setup, and much more satisfying to store after a long domino session.
Because domino rally play can quickly turn into a pile of small parts everywhere, I wanted the box to feel like a real “toolbox” for building chain reactions.
It also adds a small but important educational purpose: after the fun is finished, every part has a place to return to. It turns cleanup into part of the play routine, helping kids build the habit of taking care of their toys and putting things back where they belong.
*No tools or additional parts are required for assembling the box.
Simply press the back of the lid into the box hinge area. A little force may be needed for the first installation.
If the fit feels too tight, lightly sand the joint area until the lid can be pressed in place.
The stair pieces let the domino run climb up or down between different levels, making the chain reaction feel more dynamic than a flat layout.
The bridges can be used to cross over other paths, create small gaps, or make the layout feel more like a miniature obstacle course. With three different bridge lengths, you can choose the spacing that fits your setup.
The direction reversors help turn the domino chain around and send the motion back in another direction. They are useful for making compact layouts, U-turns, zigzags, or more surprising chain reactions.
The styled gates can be used as decorative checkpoints, entry points, or fun little “challenge moments” along the run.
The start gate gives the setup a clear beginning, while the finish gate gives the rally a satisfying endpoint.
The layout alignment tools are designed to assist during the setup process. Instead of placing every domino one by one by eye, these tools help guide the position and spacing so longer runs can be built faster, cleaner, and with less frustration. They are especially useful when kids are setting up bigger layouts, repeated paths, or sections that need more consistent placement before the rally begins.
This set is great for:
The parts can be used in many different ways. You can build a simple beginner run, or combine multiple tricks into a longer and more complex domino course.
It is not only about watching the dominoes fall. A big part of the fun is designing the route, testing the setup, fixing the failed sections, and trying again until the whole chain reaction finally works.
Unlike the Domino Rally Set where 0.6mm nozzle is recommended for faster print, 0.4mm nozzle is recommended for printing the tool parts since they are for more aesthetic purpose for style, decoration, and visual effect.
You can print them in different colors to make the set more playful and easier to organize. Bright colors work especially well for kids and make the domino layout look more exciting.
The slicer 3mf file is created based on my H2C. If you don't have a multi-nozzle printer, feel free to break the parts into more plates where color changing is not as often.
This project is designed as an expansion set for domino rally play. It works well together with standard domino rally pieces (20*7*45).
Wish you all have fun either playing with the kids, or being creative yourselves :)
