The HydroLink Pump Station adds a completely new way to interact with the system. Instead of simply pouring water into the channels, children can now generate their own water flow by turning a large hand crank.
At the heart of the module is a working Archimedean screw pump. As the crank is turned, water is lifted from the one side and discharged into the other HydroLink channels. The open frame makes the pumping process fully visible and turns a simple mechanical principle into a fun hands-on experience.
The Pump Station is designed with a simple built-in overload protection mechanism. If excessive resistance occurs – for example due to a foreign object entering the pump or an attempt to force the mechanism – the gear assembly can move upward and disengage from the drive.
This allows the crank to slip instead of transmitting excessive force to the pump components. As a result, damage to the mechanism is unlikely and the risk of trapped fingers is significantly reduced.
Designed specifically for HydroLink, the Pump Station connects directly to existing channels and expands the system with an active, player-driven element. It works particularly well as the starting point of larger layouts, creating a continuous flow that can power waterfalls, race boats, vortex modules, and future HydroLink expansions.
Assembly: Press the separately printed hex shaft into the matching hex socket of the crank handle. The insert is intentionally printed in a different orientation to reinforce the final assembly and greatly improve strength under load. No additional hardware is required.
Whether used as the heart of a small setup or as the source of a large HydroLink network, the Pump Station transforms the waterway from a passive track into an interactive water playground.
