Description

Tired of guessing what’s in your hopper?

The Smoke Signal is a clean, mechanical solution to a constant outdoor cooking headache. Instead of trying to remember if you left your hopper filled with sweet Cherry for pork or bold Hickory for brisket, just spin the dial.

As shown in the GIF, this sleek, low-profile indicator mounts right to your grill or hopper. No loose magnets to lose, no chalk to wash away in the rain, and no ugly masking tape notes. Just a satisfying spin to keep your cook organized.

🪵 Supported Wood Blends

The internal dial features clearly embossed text windows for the most popular smoker pellets and blends, or alternatively use the customizer to add your own blends:

  • Cherry
  • Apple
  • Kirkland
  • Butcher (Bear Mountain)
  • Hickory
  • USA Blend (Bear Mountain)
  • Competition
  • Oak

🛠️ Design & Features

  • Two-Piece Print: A textured front cover housing a rotating internal selector wheel with crisp, legible text windows. Print multiple “Pellet Pie's" if you have more than 8 and easily snap it on and off the front piece.
  • Magnetic Mounting: Features an internal recess on the back for small neodymium magnets, making it easily attachable and removable from any steel hopper or grill lid. It uses 3x 8mm X 2mm magnets
  • Perfect for Textured Plates: Printing the front face down on a textured PEI plate gives it a rugged, matte, cast-iron look that blends beautifully with the finish of most major pellet grills.

🚀 Print Settings & Recommendations

  • Filament: ASA or PETG are highly recommended. Because this will live outdoors and near a heat source, standard PLA will warp or distort in the sun or during long, hot cooks.
  • Infill: 15%–20% (Gyroid recommended).
  • Orientation: Print the main face down on a Textured PEI plate to achieve the textured finish shown in the video and file
  • Color Changes (Multi-color): For the selector dial, set a filament swap/pause for the top layer text (white text on a black wheel) to make the text pop through the viewing window, this gives the outside a two tone color, or alternatively “Paint” text separately (more filament changes.)
