Description
This is a fully original, 3‑part modular hydroponic system designed to convert any standard 5‑gallon bucket (Lowes/Home Depot) into a high‑flow, 3‑plant outdoor hydroponic garden. It was created in TinkerCad and printed on a Bambu Labs H2C using Sunlu High‑Speed ABS.
The system is engineered specifically for larger outdoor plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and other heavy feeders that benefit from strong root aeration and continuous nutrient flow.
The lid is printed as a single 320 mm one‑piece part, not a multi‑segment assembly. This requires a larger build plate (Bambu A2, A2 Mini, or H2‑series), but the benefit is huge: no seams, no joints, and no leak paths. The lid fits securely over a standard 5‑gallon bucket and includes:
This part sits inside the bucket and locks into the underside of the lid.
Features:
A reinforcement piece that attaches to the underside of the reservoir.
Purpose:
The entire system is built in three stacked layers (lid → reservoir → optional support). These layers are aligned and secured using three 4×45 mm bolts, creating a rigid, unified structure. This bolt‑together design maintains perfect alignment, prevents sagging, and ensures long‑term watertight performance even under continuous hydroponic flow.
These pots are designed for larger root systems and include:
This design solves a common problem: Tower gardens don’t hydrate tomato/cucumber roots well, and standard buckets don’t distribute water evenly.
