Description
Toolify3d spanner/wrench holder identifier tags, These pair with the Toolify3d spanner holders in order to help you identify which spanner.
i personally prefer my tags to be above the spanner/wrench, but they're interchangeable to go either way around depending on your holder orientation and easily pop in/pop out without glue, screws or anything.. just the pegs seat them.
Two types of tags:
Standard - without AMS, supports needed. (I used these, printed with my A1 mini a while ago now)
Reversed - AMS required, 3 colour changes, no supports, prints face down.
NOTE: REVERSE PRINTS BLACK/RED CURRENTLY HAVE BLEED THROUGH, IM WORKING ON IT. Save the print profile and you should get a notification when i update it :)
The reversed tags are simple and require little explainantion
Set your AMS colours, make sure your build plate is CLEAN and filament is dry. Print as many as you like :)
The standard tags (Without AMS) are annoying but manageable.
On the colour change layer, you will have to pause/swap your colour the same way you load/unload it
The biggest draw back with these for me was the supports. i strongly recommend printing in PLA/PLA+ just for ease of removal from the build plate.
i have printed these in PLA, PLA+, PETG, HS/HF PETG and various CF variations of those filaments mentioned.
Despite my recommendation i actually print these in full plates with Sunlu HS matte black PETG with Eryone Red PETG for the letters/numbers. i strongly DONT recommend SUNLU HS RED PETG, it came out more orange than anything. i do find with PLA you get better colours than PETG, hence i recommend PLA.
but Sunlu PETG is cheap at £30 for 4kg refills on amazon and the whole idea of my toolgrid series is ‘lets do toolgrid on the cheap’ .
I change the colour of the numbers/letters based on height, simply change to whatever filament colour you desire at the correct layer height (Information listed below)
I have these set with an arrangement of 3 to squeeze as many as possible on one board and the whole row pulls off as one strip, but the bambu software will give you a collision warning where the supports overlap. i DO NOT recommend this as obviously i don't want you to cause any damage or encounter any print failures. thus do this at your own risk.
The print profiles are automatically set the correct distance of arrangement which is 9 at a minimum without collision errors, if you add more/copy additional tags you will need to rearrange the plate with an arrangement of 9 as a minimum.
I personally hate supports. but has no AMS to print reversed ones at the time.
Being supported you will have to remove the supports before installing into the spanner holders obviously. when i started this i broke many as they are fairly delicate when bending the supports off.
NOTE: I tend to grab a pair of side cutters/flush cuts and GENTLY squeeze both sides on the spanner tag where the support material interface layer is (where support meets the actual item). Squeeze too hard, you'll cut through the click/slide-in pin!
Once squeeze gentle on both sides the identifier/tag can be removed easily from the support.
If there is a call for it i will upload a few pictures on how i have done it to over 500 of these now. (Its slightly tedious, but once it done. ITS DONE)
as with anything, please make sure your filament is completely dry, and you have done a test print ensuring your bed temperature etc is all perfect before splurging out on a full plate of these bad boys.
Please check the print profiles for information as they are slightly different, utilizing different sizes etc.

P.s - i am sorry these are not in order. when arranging the plate correctly the software shifted them about.
IF anyone happens to need imperial/odd/random sizes, drop me a message/comment with the required sizes/requests and i will reply endeavor to reply within 24h and upload a print profile for you within 48h!
Happy organizing guys/gals!
