Borescope Centering Guide

A sturdy, blimp-shaped guide that keeps your borescope camera centered inside pipes, ducts, and conduits.

It helps keep the lens away from dirty or wet walls while you inspect the inside of a pipe.

Use the Customize button to set the guide size for your camera, cable, and pipe diameter.

Key features

  • Fully parametric: adjust the design to fit your hardware.
  • Hardware options: choose M3 or M4 screws and nuts (Nylstop suppoerted).
  • Curved profile: the sloped shape helps the guide move over pipe joints and small obstacles.
  • Automatic screw layout: depending on the guide length, the design uses 2, 4, or 6 screws for secure clamping. This can also be changed manually.

Included examples

For an 8 mm camera with a 6 mm cable, you can skip the customizer and use the included print profile.

It includes three ready-to-print plates:

Plate 1: Standard

  • 80 mm long, 40 mm diameter
  • Uses 4 M4 screws
  • A balanced option for standard PVC joints in pipes 75 mm and larger

Plate 2: Mini

  • 45 mm long, 25 mm diameter
  • Uses 2 M3 screws
  • A short option for tight corners in 40-50 mm pipes

Plate 3: Large

  • 150 mm long, 60 mm diameter
  • Uses 6 M4 screws
  • Best for straight sections or gentle bends in 100 mm pipes

Printing recommendations

  • Material: Tested in PLA. PETG may be a better choice for added durability.
  • Walls: Use 3 to 4 wall loops so the material around the screw holes is fully solid.
  • Infill: 15% gyroid or cubic.

Assembly

Place the camera and cable in the center channel, then tighten the screws with the matching hex nuts.

Tip for dirty pipes

For muddy or sludgy pipes, wrap electrical tape or duct tape over the screw holes  to prevent dirt from entering.
