Configurable Automotive Press-in Snap Rivet

This configurable parametric model lets you print almost any automotive press-in snap rivet that you need. Just hit the green Customize button and input your dimensions.

• Head Diameter recommendation is 2 to 3 times the shaft diameter. And anything less than 2X the shaft diameter will get bumped up automatically.
• Shaft Diameter recommendation is 0.2 mm smaller than the hole it will go into.
• Grip Length recommendation is 0.2 to 0.5 mm greater than the total panel stackup.

Installation

1. Insert the V-shaped insert into the O-shaped washer.
2. Install them into the panel hole.

3. Push the T-shaped insert in to lock everything in place with a click. 

    

Measurement

If you need a tool to measure hole diameter or depth, there is a simple printable hole gauge available in the print profiles. It consists of a conical set of plugs up to 12 mm diameter and short hook rule for getting the distance to the backside of a hole.
