Mara Redhand is one of the busiest and most dangerous people in Pighorn Tavern. She carries mugs, plates, insults, and threats with equal skill, moving through the noisy crowd like she owns the place. Most guests quickly learn that it is safer to argue with the bouncer than to make Mara angry.

Sharp-tongued, strong-willed, and always tired of everyone’s nonsense, Mara keeps the tavern alive during its worst nights. She knows who paid, who lied, who cheated at cards, and who should be thrown out before the first punch is thrown.

Behind her rough temper, Mara has a loyal heart and a memory full of useful secrets. Use her as a tavern NPC, rumor source, quest contact, comic social encounter, or the person who knows exactly what happened before the heroes arrived.
