This is a remix of the MeshTac Tactical Case originally designed for the Heltec V3/V4/T114.
This version targets the Heltec V4 with GPS module and may fit a Heltec V3 or T114 board. But that has not been tested or confirmed by me.
What's changed from the original:
- Integrated logo plate – The removable/swapable logo plate from the original faceplate was removed. It never seated properly and had a tendency to shift around. The logo is now directly embedded in the faceplate and can be swapped for any logo of your choice directly in Bambu Studio. I’d suggest using a .svg version of whichever logo/image you choose.
- Relocated GPS bracket – The GPS bracket position has been adjusted to accommodate the shorter 8-pin cable that is being shipped with the Heltec V4 bundle from Meshnology.
- Removed “rugged tactical” cutouts – The side cutouts were filled in/removed to provide a better finished product and print quality.
Features:
- Works with or without the GPS module
- Faceplate, board mount, and backplate assemble together using M3 screws
- Backplate accommodates a 1,000–3,000 mAh battery. Use double-sided tape to secure the battery in place.
Print Settings:
I printed with SUNLU PETG. The Heltec V4 does not generate a lot of heat and the case may be printed with PLA. If you have concerns about heat, PETG or ABS are highly recommended. If you want or need ventilation, negative parts can easily be added to the faceplate or backplate in Bambu Studio to cut exhaust holes without modifying the original model files.
