Concentric Spheres Gyro - Print-in-Place Fidget

This print-in-place fidget gyro is a fun spin on existing designs. Instead of nested rings, it uses nested spheres, giving it a more rounded and unique feel.

 

The spheres are printed inside each other, so once the print is finished, just remove it from the build plate and start playing with it. To spin it, grab the inner sphere(s) from the top and bottom and flick the outer sphere. It's also fun to experiment with different orientations of the individual layers.

 

The default profile prints all three spheres in the same color. I will upload an AMS version soon where the middle sphere is a different color! 

 

This is one of my favorite designs I've made so far. I hope you guys find it as fun to play with as it is cool to look at!

 

Note: Please let me know how the tolerances are! This works well on my 3D printer, but it can be different for everyone. If folks need it tighter or looser, I can upload additional versions.
