Do you sleep with your hand under the pillow to raise your head, only to wake up with a numb, tingling arm and compressed elbows?

 

The NightMouse is an ergonomic pillow spacer designed to perfectly replace your hand under the pillow, maintaining your preferred sleeping height without cutting off your circulation. Shaped like a symmetrical teardrop, it works intuitively just like a computer mouse: guide it under the pillow with your palm, find the perfect spot, and slide your hand out. The spacer stays, your arm stays free!

 

⚙️How it Works:

  • 1: Sleeping with your hand trapped under the pillow causes painful compression and numbness in your arm.
     

  • 2: Slide The NightMouse under your pillow following these simple steps:
    • Hold it like a mouse: It is perfectly symmetrical, so it works naturally for both left and right hands.
    • Position it: Move your hand exactly where you would normally want it to be under the pillow.
    • Slide out: Once you find the perfect spot, simply slide your hand out. The spacer remains in place.
       

  • 3: Enjoy a comfortable sleep with your head perfectly supported and your arm completely free and painless!

  • Two Versions Included:
    • Tissue-Holder Version (Main Model): Features an internal slot designed to hold a folded tissue. The corners stick out slightly so you can easily grab a tissue during the night without lifting the pillow.
    • Standard Version: Sleek, solid, and sturdy for those who just want a pure spacer.

       

📏 Sizing & Customization Tip

The default model is calibrated based on my own hand. To determine the ideal thickness, I measured the maximum thickness of my hand while it was resting completely flat on a table.

To get the perfect, tailored fit for your body, I highly recommend doing the same before printing:

  1. Place your hand flat on a table and measure its maximum thickness (the height from the table surface to the top of your hand, specifically the area right in front of the wrist).
  2. Check the default thickness of the model in your slicer.
  3. If you need to adjust it to match your measurement or personal preference, select the model in your slicer (e.g., Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer).
  4. Uncheck the "Uniform Scale" option.
  5. Modify ONLY the Y-axis to increase or decrease the thickness.

🛠️ Recommended Print Settings

This model is printed vertically, but the compression forces when in use are horizontal. To ensure maximum durability and comfort, use these tested settings:

  • Material: PLA
  • Wall Loops: 3 
  • Infill: 15%
  • Infill Pattern: Triangles (Provides the best structural resistance against horizontal compression).
  • Supports:
    • Tissue Version: Needs simple, easy-to-remove tree supports inside the slot.
    • Standard Version: Needs just a minimal support at the very bottom due to the initial tight curve.

⚠️ Post-Processing Tip for Maximum Comfort: Depending on your support interface settings, the very bottom surface (the part in contact with the build plate/supports) might feel a bit rough. Give it a quick rub with fine-grit sandpaper to make it perfectly smooth before putting it under your pillow!

💡 How to use the Tissue Version: Fold your tissue in half into a square before sliding it into the slot. Leave the corners slightly exposed for a quick, hassle-free pull in the dark!
