Note: The handle bar's thickness is uneven, so I clip it together in the right and side and force slide it to the left edge where its tight. Also you can glue some felt or rubber into the prongs to cushion the barrel and take some of the impact of rought trails.
I printed this in ASA for summer heat but in retro, I think PETG might be the better option.
a. it doesnt get that hot inside the U10 cab like a regular car
b. PETG has more flex and will be a by far easier print, took me 3 attempts to get the print profile right, might or might not work for you. Issues with layeradhesion as soon as I print to high up due to extraction fan causing a draft. So printing the part in two parts was the trick. So make sure all cooling is off when printing ASA and print ultraslow. Likely none of those issues with PETG.
Putting the prongs and bracket together I pushed it in by hand about 20% and then used a vice to slowly gently force it together, the tolerances are tight intentionally. if you want it to be permanent you can brush a bit of Acetone on the connection before assembly that will chemically melt/bond the two parts permanent together, I choose not to so I can replace the prongs or bracket individually if one part breaks and I choose to redesign/remix the other part and save me a few hours of reprinting something that's perfectly ok.
V3.1 Update:
It didn't pass the dog test - my Staffygirl “Mini” jumped on it and snapped it off, so here we go with the improved version
a. Removed Print in Place hinge against bolt hole, that allows then the part to be printed standing up with less support for cleaner finish and more robust stability
b. thickend clamp hooks
c. slighly more tolerance on the cleat
d. finger knob at the clamp for easier appliance and removal
