Description
A durable, weather-resistant replacement handle for aluminium greenhouses.
Designed as a two-piece set - a low-profile inner finger pull and a contoured outer grip — clamping through the door panel with M4 bolts and heat-set inserts. Printed in ASA (recommended) or PETG for UV and outdoor durability.
This listing is for the STL/3MF files and print-ready design for a two-part greenhouse door handle:
The two halves sandwich the door panel and are drawn together with M4 bolts through heat-set inserts, giving a strong, serviceable, no-glue assembly that can be tightened, removed, or swapped out over time.
The inner finger pull features textured surfaces (raised pattern) to improve hand purchase in wet, muddy, or gloved condition.
ASA's UV resistance makes it the better long-term choice for a part that lives outside permanently. PETG will work and is easier to print without an enclosure, but expect gradual UV yellowing and embrittlement over a couple of seasons.
Heat-set inserts should be pressed into the printed bosses using a soldering iron at approx. 200–220°C, going in straight and flush.
The inner finger pull is intentionally low profile to avoid fouling the door when it slides closed.
Before installation, verify you have approximately 25mm of clearance on the inside of the door where the handle will sit. Measure:
If your clearance is tighter than 25mm, this design may need scaling or a redesign of the pull profile — check fit with a printed test piece or cardboard mock-up first. There is a photo showing the clearance.
