Description
Lucerna is a modular decorative chain assembled from individually printed links.
Originally inspired by a simple rhombic form, the geometry gradually evolved into something resembling a small lantern — which eventually gave the model its name.
Each faceted link becomes a small sculptural element on its own, while together they form a lightweight, flexible chain suitable for a variety of uses: as a wearable accessory, a cosplay element, a decorative object, a fidget piece, or a component in larger custom creations.
The model is available in two link versions:
A two-part threaded clasp is also included as a separate print profile for creating complete necklaces, bracelets, or longer chains.
Links can be scaled if needed. In PLA, successful prints and assembly were tested down to 77% of the original size, although smaller versions become noticeably more fragile. The functionality of the clasp has not been verified at reduced scales.
The provided print profiles use sequential printing, producing five links per build plate (optimized for the Bambu Lab A1 Mini). Printing larger batches simultaneously is possible, but sequential printing generally provides cleaner-looking links with more consistent surface quality.
