Store pegs fail three ways: the steel spring rusts, the hinge snaps, or a gust flips them off the line. This peg deletes all three failure modes.
The mechanics (all printed, zero assembly)
- Omega-loop spring: the arms connect through a thick printed loop at the back — the whole spring is one smooth curve of plastic. Thicker fabric bends it further, so grip force increases with load, exactly like a steel-spring peg.
- See-saw fulcrum: two rounded bumps mid-body act as the pivot. Squeeze the scalloped tails, the jaws open ~7 mm — towels, jeans, double-folded sheets.
- Rope channel: a Ø5.4 mm rounded groove deep in the throat clamps around the line, not just onto the fabric. Wind pulls the laundry; the peg stays put.
- Wave teeth: interleaved bumps S-bend the fabric across three ridges instead of biting one point — strong hold, no marks on delicate fabric.
- Flared jaw tips self-guide onto the line one-handed, and the omega loop doubles as a hang hole for a carabiner or storage line.
