Description

Quickly clear coolant and chips from your workpiece with this CNC Chip Fan & Coolant Blower. Designed to mount in a standard 3/4" collet, it uses spindle rotation to generate a powerful stream of air that blows coolant, chips, and debris away from the part, making it easier to inspect finished features, verify dimensions, or prepare for the next operation.

The hollow center makes it thru-coolant capable, allowing it to be used in through-spindle coolant tool holders without blocking coolant flow.

Whether you're drying off a freshly machined part or clearing chips between operations, this fan is a simple addition to any CNC mill.

I DO suggest setting this as an “oversized” tool in you machine parameters if you are loading it into your tooling turret, this way the machine will leave an empty spot on either side.

Features

  • Mounts in a standard 3/4" collet
  • Thru-coolant capable
  • Quickly blows coolant and chips off parts
  • Great for part inspection and cleanup

Print Recommendations

  • I've only tested this using: PETG
  • Use the print profile provided!
  • Use 10 walls and 25%  Gyroid infill for maximum strength.
  • Ensure good layer adhesion and proper extrusion, print slow!
  • Inspect the finished part for cracks, voids, or other defects before use.

Safety Information

⚠️ Maximum recommended operating speed: 10,000 RPM.

I have personally tested this design over several weeks, including continuous operation at 12,000 RPM for more than one hour without any issues. However, every printer, filament, and print is different. Material choice, print orientation, layer adhesion, slicer settings, and printer calibration can all affect the strength and balance of the finished part.

For that reason:

  • Use only in fully enclosed CNC machines.
  • Do not exceed 10,000 RPM.
  • Inspect the fan before every use.
  • Discontinue use immediately if any damage, cracking, or imbalance is observed.
  • Use this model entirely at your own risk.

By downloading and using this model, you accept full responsibility for its use. I cannot guarantee the performance or safety of parts printed on other machines or with different materials or print settings, and I assume no liability for any injury, equipment damage, or other loss resulting from its use.
