Designed for chickens, quails, pheasants, guinea fowl and many other poultry species, PerchFeed is a modern 3D printable gravity feeder that combines clean aesthetics with practical features to reduce feed waste and simplify daily care.

Unlike traditional open feeders where birds easily scratch food onto the ground, this design keeps the feed protected and significantly reduces waste. The feeding ports only allow birds to access what they actually eat, helping save feed while keeping the surrounding area cleaner.

• Holds approximately 2230 g of feed.
• The recessed slot on the lid allows the feeder to be hung easily using a rope or hook.
• Tool-free assembly and disassembly for quick cleaning.
• Removable legs allow you to adjust the feeder height, making it suitable for adult birds as well as chicks or smaller poultry.
• If you keep only a few birds, the optional feeding port caps can be installed. This increases the storage capacity while keeping unused ports closed.
• The feeding tubes can be snapped in and out by hand with gentle force.
• Elevated design with legs helps keep insects away from the feed.
• Covered feeding ports include a small rain shield that helps prevent rain from entering.
• Enclosed hopper keeps feed cleaner and protected from the environment.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Screw the base onto the container.

2. Snap the tubes into the holes (3x).

3. Fill the container with feed.

4. Screw the lid onto the container.

5. Your feeder is now ready to use.

Why I Designed It

Many people think of chickens and other poultry only as farm animals. However, more and more families keep them as beloved pets, caring for them just like they would a cat or a dog.

I wanted to create a feeder that reflects that same level of care—easy to maintain, clean, practical and visually appealing—while also reducing feed waste and making everyday feeding easier.
