Recommended Switches

This design is built around MX-style mechanical keyboard switches, giving each button a satisfying tactile feel and an addictive mechanical click.

For the loudest and most satisfying click, I recommend using Blue MX switches, which provide a crisp tactile bump and distinctive click with every press.

You can also experiment with other MX-compatible switches, including:

• 🔵 Blue – Loud, tactile click (recommended)
• 🟤 Brown – Quiet tactile bump
• 🔴 Red – Smooth linear press
• ⚫ Black – Heavier linear press
• 🟢 Green – Extra-heavy tactile click

Each switch type gives the clicker a different feel, allowing you to customise the clicking experience to suit your preference.

Print the bases upright as supplied in the files.

Print the letters face-up for the cleanest finish.

Important Print Notes

⚠️ The snap-fit connection has been designed with tight tolerances to provide a secure fit.

For the best results:

• Ensure your printer is properly calibrated.
• Check your flow/extrusion multiplier.
• Verify your dimensional accuracy.
• Avoid over-extrusion.
• Remove any elephant's foot before assembly if necessary.

A well-calibrated printer will produce a satisfying snap fit while still allowing the letters to be swapped with ease.

Assembly

1. Carefully remove the two gold metal pins from the bottom of each MX switch using a pair of pliers or side cutters. These electrical contacts are not required for this project.
2. Press the switch firmly into the printed base until it is fully seated.
3. Snap your chosen letter into the top of the base.
4. Connect additional bases together to build names or words of any length.

No glue required—everything is designed to snap together securely.
