Description

Replicated Miniature model of the Martinitoren in Groningen, The Netherlands

Two models included, all in one piece or separate pieces with some nubs and holes to fit the pieces together. The original model uses small magnets to stick together.

Technical data:

Name: Martinitower

Buildyear: 1577

Location: Groningen, The Netherlands

Architect: Gerrit Kistemaker

Scale: 1:250

Total height: 320ft / 97m

I printed at 0.1mm but the design details (except for the bulb on the top) are not more than 0.5 mm resolution. Since it's a sculpture (unless used as a toy) strength is not so important so I printed at 10% infill.

Of course you could also make it out of wood using this model for measurements.

Post-Printing

Finishing

This is a very straightforward print, with mostly straight lines and very few overhangs.

If you want to copy the original model, print it with woodlike material and use a gold-pen or something to paint the bulb.

Or use gold filament for the last few layers.

To copy the actual building you'll have to paint some more details.
