Filament Clip for Cardboard Spool Adapters

This is a filament clip for use with cardboard spools that have an adapter on them to be used in the AMS. I am not a fan of the clips that clip to the filament on the roll, and I couldn't find a clip that was wide enough to securely clip to a spool adapter ring. To solve this, I designed a very simple clip that securely attach onto a spool adapter and keeps your 1.75mm filament from unwinding. Easily prints in under 15 minutes, which is a LOT less time than it takes to rewind a spool properly!

• For use with 1.75mm filament and spool adapters that are 5mm wide (which is the most common size)
• Clips over the spool adapter ring so you don't have to remove the ring when storing filament
• holds the filament securely without damaging it
• “Flat” profile so that you can store spool side by side without accidentally knocking the clip off
