All models have been test printed on the A1 Mini with the AMS Lite!
 

I have this set to use the 0.4mm nozzle with a .28mm layer height. This prints three layers of colour so the colours turn out nice and saturated and minimize waste. After the colour, there's one solid black layer, three layers of infill, and four final solid layers for the back for strength with the back pattern set to Hilbert Curve for a nice texture. There is a small hole in each model which is just large enough to fit a 1mm keychain jump ring. If you find it too small, you can modify the size of the “Keychain hole” object in BambuStudio to make it a little larger, or take a small drill bit and drill the final keychain to make it a little bigger!

 

I purchased my keychain set from Amazon if you'd like to get something similar! The 8mm x 2mm magnets I used can be bought on Amazon as well!

 

All models have been flipped face down on the print bed so the surface texture from the PEI plate gives them a nice textured surface! All the different pieces of the models are there if you want to play around with it. There is one black ‘back’ piece in each keychain, which is perfectly aligned to the rest of the model. This causes some flickering in the viewport when moving around, but it disappears after slicing. If you modify the settings of that piece, it will affect the infill settings, so if you want to save a little filament, feel free to adjust it there!

I made some changes to the first layer and first layer infill speeds, reducing them both by about half. This increases the print time for the first layer, but increases the bed adhesion and print quality a bit. If you find that the first layer is printing too slow for your liking, feel free to reset them both back to default settings in the speed tab.

If you want some extra crisp pixels, you can try printing these with the 0.2mm nozzle, but I didn't think the increased print time was really worth the extra quality. It's definitely noticeable, but I didn't think the tradeoff was there. Feel free to experiment and try it yourself!

 

Adding the magnets is easy! Buy some 8x2mm magnets from Amazon, along with some glue (I'm using Gorilla Glue Gel). Drop a small amount of the glue into the holes, and insert the magnets ensuring they're facing the same direction so you don't have a polarity flip between the two :D

 

 

Want to remove the keychain ring or hole? No problem! Each keychain has a “Keychain hole” or “Keychain Outer Ring/Keychain Inner Hole” object on each plate. Just select them, delete it, and re-slice! Same thing with the Magnet hole! Just delete that objects if you don't want them there.

Want to scale these up really large to make some wall art? Just delete the “Keychain hole” or “Magnet Hole” object, then scale the X and Y axis to fit your print bed. Keep the Z-Scale back to 3.08mm so you're not printing extra layers though!

There's lots of different colour Yoshi's out there! I didn't want to assume anyone would always want the green one, so i've included a plate at the end that has 8 other colour options. If you want a blue yossi, just select the green part of the model, and replace with one of the colours in the filament section.
