  • Added extra material at the bottom of the case so the clock will stand more stable

Update 2024.09.06: About the clock hands

Please read this before printing the hands!

Some of you have problems making the clockl hands fit. They are a difficult print. They need to hold onto the kit without and glue or screw. So the tolerance are pretty small and not every clock is exactly the same.

 

The holes of the hands are oval-shaped. So you can you can try with a little force to press them onto the clock

 

If you are struggling to make it fit please adjust these two settings:

• Elephant foot: Inscrease it to up to 0.5mm to get rid of an elephant foot
• X-Y hole compensation:
  • If the clock hand is too loose → Use negative values to make the hole smaller
    • Change value in 0.1mm steps
  • If the clock hand does not fit/hole is too small → Use positive values to make it bigger
    • Change value in 0.1mm steps

 

Example:

Value X-Y hole compensation = 0.0mm	Value X-Y hole compensation = 0.2mm

A minimalistic clock

My goal was to make a design as clean as possible. So no gimmick, no frills. And also no visible screws etc.

 

Filaments used:

• Eryone matte army green
• Eryone ultra silk gold

 

Assembly:

• Glue the thread inserts onto the backside of the clock face
• Attach the clock work to the clock face
• Align the threads and the holes in the clock case
• Screw the feet into the case
• Attach the watch hands
  • This may take some prints if you do not want to glue it

 

This model should is compatible with the Bambu components kit 011
