Description

Despite never having issues with the stock hotend shroud I have always desired to have a more easily serviceable hotend. Therefore, I have modeled my own kit. The key feature in this setup is the ability to remove the fan and hotend in case they pick strings since I mostly print with PETG.

What I tried to do with this concept is to avoid removing the probe so that Z-offset is not affected. The hotend I use is made by microswiss which has countersunk screws and once tightened back will maintain its exact position.

The design uses stock fans as I have never had any issues in the past 6 years I own my printer, but I have always desired an unobstructed view when laying down the first layer in which the stock setup lucks. I will test this with a Biqu CAN board. The CAN will allow for easier maintenance and modifications along with onboard acceleration and less mess with wires.

I will install the setup once I finish a large project that I have ahead of me so the functionality of the design has not been tested yet!

The parts have been printed with #extrudr PETG metallic gray!

More updated regarding this design can found on my fb page!
