Updates:
- Added squiggly pattern
- Added fuzzy skin modifier for better grip
- Currently it doesn't work in Bambu slicer, it leaves gaps in the model. Use Orca slicer 2.2 or PrusaSlicer 2.9.0 alpha (or above) to apply it (read more here)
- Improved slicing instructions
Features:
- Place in the back for magsafe metal ring (tested with Baseus)
- Case is thicker in the back than the camera bump, so it sits flat on the desk
- Features cut-outs for the type-C port, buttons and top microphone, so it should be relatively easy to install
Recommended printing settings:
- Set high count of top/bottom layers to make back solid
- Turn off supports
- Ideally print ‘primary’ part with something little bit flexible with strong layer adhesion to avoid breaking (e.g. PETG)
Slicing instructions:
On multicolour capable printers:
- Load model to the slicer as single object with multiple parts
Select accent color for the whole object
Change color of the primary part
For fuzzy skin version - change type of the fuzzy part to be modifier
select to modify fuzzy skin and choose preferred settings (I've chosen 0.3mm distance and 0.4 thickness for rough but not messy texture)
On other printers:
Watch beforehand, goes in detail about whole process:
https://youtu.be/m_SXRGGoTQo
