Description

I needed some fan covers to improve the look of some Noctua NF-A4x10 and NF-A4x20, 40mm fan's I mounted to my fan mounts custom designed for the Bambu A1 and Bambu A1 Mini. I figured I would release this model separately to the incase someone is looking for 40mm fan covers that fully cover a fan.

 

Print and Assembly Notes:

  • Plate 1 Contains 10mm Thick Fan Shroud Design, Plate 2 Contains 20mm Thick Fan Shroud Design
  • To edit the infill type on the cylinder click Process Objects
  • Right click on “Cylinder” part and click “Edit Parameters”
  • Then click on “Infill Density” for Cover Base row, and edit to your desired outcome. Honeycomb works great and looks good best, suggest 5%-10% infill density provides best flow, the higher the infill density the more it will impact airflow.
  • You will need 4 PC case fan screws to install. 
     

Print Profile Notes:

 

Nozzle: Suggest 0.4mm nozzle for precision fit
Wall Loops: 5 wall loops on 0.4mm nozzle, 0.6mm nozzle not recommended due to decreased layer adhesion.
Layer Height: Suggest 0.16mm or 0.20mm to maximize strength (0.20mm default)
Infill: 10% honeycomb, suggest 5-10% infill either honeycomb or other infill design that is fully connected
Brim: 5mm brim
Material: PLA or PETG
Color: Any
Print Orientation: Print with mesh facing print bed.
Supports: None
3d Printers: Should be printable on any printer.
Filament amount required: 10-15g per decorative fan cover
