Description

My first project designed using HueForge. Happy with how it came out, and glad to share it here in case anyone else would benefit from some work I've already done. The background, body, eyes, cheeks, and hat are all split into different prints. Pieces are then glued together. I designed this to be printed with a .2mm nozzle with an initial .16mm layer with the following layers being .04mm each. I haven't tested it with a .4mm nozzle, but I wouldn't be super surprised if it printed well with that still.

Please let me know if you printed this or modified it in any way for your filament or different purposes! I'd love to see how this is used! And I'm glad to answer any questions you might have if I am able.

I've included the HueForge project files as well as the GIMP project file in a zip file where the different components of the image are split into layers. This is in case you want to modify things to accomodate different filaments better. Hopefully it will be useful to you!

I have it scaled to 120mm x 92.8mm, but you can obviously rescale it. Just make sure you rescale each different object, and do not scale it uniformly (you do not want to scale with regards to z height).

I've included a picture of the different colors of filaments used in my slicer settings.

Exact filaments used:
PLA BambuLab Basic Mistletoe Green (Guessed Transmission Distance: 5)

-just very sparingly for the background. You certainly don't need this one
PLA BambuLab Basic Blue Gray (Transmission Distance: 3)

PLA BambuLab Basic Orange (Transmission Distance: 5)
PLA BambuLab Basic Jade White (Transmission Distance: 5)

PLA BambuLab Matte Dark Brown (Transmission Distance: 2)
PLA Overture Gray Blue (Transmission Distance: 0.8)

PLA PolyTerra Savannah Yellow (Transmission Distance: 3.5)
PLA PolyTerra Lava Red (Transmission Distance: 1)

PLA Eryone Matte Black (Guessed Transmission Distance: 0.6, though that isn't relevant in this project)

-really any black would do.

If you buy any filament listed above, I'm including the affiliate links that benefit the creator of HueForge here. It would be awesome if you wanted to support the awesome work they are doing on it with that!

Disclaimer: The original art belongs to the Pokemon Company (I believe). I've included a picture of the original artwork as well as the Van Gogh piece that it pays homage to.
