Description
Get ready for the sunny days with this fashionable Flip-Flop keychain. This model is optimized for 0.2mm layer height and is very easy to print in two parts. No glue needed for assembly but for heavy use probably recommended if you want to make 100% sure it is not coming loose. The two parts are perfectly fine to print in PLA but you can also print the Toe-Strap in PETG if you find PLA too stiff for your use case.
Additional parts needed:
- Keyring 14mm or bigger (aliexpress)
Print Plates:
Custom Nametag:
STEP 1: Edit the text object
STEP 2: Text settings used for this print. Make sure the thickness is at 0.4mm and the embeded depth is at 0.2mm for a minimum of 3 layers overall thickness. Of course, you can change the font type and size depending on your text. Note: The text object has to be at the bottom of the object list for the slicing to work correctly.
STEP 3: After you are done, make sure to center the text as shown in the image below. Since it is an assembly, you can only center the text on the object list on the left. Notice how the flip-flop itself is not centered so it is in the correct spot for a centered text.
Variations:
If you want a flip-flop keychain without a textbox at the bottom, check out my other version here.
Note:
Be carefull when changing wallcounts and/or infil percentage as this might lead to different cooling and thus different shrinkage, effectively changing how well the parts fit together. Adjust your X-Y hole compensation if you have issues with the press-fit connections as shown HERE.
