Boost MePlease consider giving me a Boost if you like my work! It will go toward resources to help me design more models!
Highlights:
Great for home decor or other uses involving lilies
Two petal designs for you to choose between
The petals, stem, and base are all separate parts so you can print with different colors/materials
The stamen of the flower makes use of your printer's purge lines
The base is the same as in my Lunar Tear model if you would like to reuse it
Printing notes and assembly:
Pick a petal design to print
Plate 1: Spiral petals
Easier of the two to print (easier to break off supports near the center)
Plate 2: Whorled petals
More realistic like actual lilies
Supports near the center hole may be more difficult to remove compared to the ones in the spiral petals
From testing, I was able to get the supports off with tools and/or “punching a hole” through the support interface from the top of the petals using the stem's tip
If making any changes, ensure the following:
Petals have tree supports with a 45 degree threshold angle
Petals have adaptive layer height enabled
To color the tip of the stem to match the petals, use an AMS or add a pause around height 146.00 to swap colors
From my testing, you may need a tiny bit of pressure to attach the petals to stem and stem to base but it should stay secure
For the stamen (center hole at the top of the stem), I’ve tested it to have a snug fit with around 4-6 purge lines (only 1-2 lines needed if you're resourceful with your folding/cutting)
Fold each purge line in half
Insert the folded line into the base until no more can fit
Cut the lines to your desired length
Use your finger to press down into the center hole and fan out the cut lines
