改这个方案主要有几点考虑:
- 之前用的官方AMS置顶方案,之前就怕四卷耗材放在机子上面容易掉,最后还是掉了。有一天晚上直接掉下来了,还好机子没事。原因就是pla高温容易软化,当时仓温40多度,然后又挂了三卷耗材加上高温软化承载力不够,所以垮掉了。拓竹官方直接将AMS lite置顶方案还是有点简单粗暴。
- AMS lite封箱很麻烦 湿度大地区可能不好干燥,也不知道官方为什么没有考虑到这个问题,把AMS拆下来就可以耗材和AMS分离,这样只需要单独给耗材一个干燥箱就可以,只要保证供料顺滑可以从任意位置供料。无论是干燥箱还是架子上或者烘干箱等等。
- 如果耗材很多可以像我一样,这个供料系统即可以收纳,也可以直接给机子供料。适合耗材很多或者是多个打印机。
The main considerations for this modification are as follows:
- Previously, the official AMS top-loading solution was used. I was concerned that having four spools of consumables on top of the machine would make them prone to falling off, and eventually, they did fall. One night, they fell directly down, but luckily the machine was unharmed. The reason was that PLA softens easily at high temperatures. The ambient temperature was over 40 degrees Celsius, and with the added weight of three spools of consumables and the softening due to high temperatures, the load capacity was insufficient, leading to the collapse. The official AMS lite top-loading solution from Taulman was still somewhat rudimentary.
- It's troublesome to seal the AMS lite. In areas with high humidity, drying might not be effective. It's unclear why the official solution didn't consider this issue. By detaching the AMS, consumables and AMS can be separated. This way, only a separate drying box for consumables is needed, as long as the supply is smooth and can be fed from any position, whether it's in a drying box, on a rack, or in a drying cabinet, etc.
- If there are many consumables, like in my case, this feeding system can both store and directly supply the machine with consumables. It's suitable for situations with a large number of consumables or multiple printers.
关于安装的问题:
- 整体改装方案其实很简单,没什么难度,大家放心。基本就是拧几个螺丝的问题。
- 大家改装之前一定要看拓竹官方的AMS lite拆解视频,虽然拆解很简单,但是如果之前没有拆过,一定还是要看官方的视频确保不会损坏。
- 安装我这个方案大部分的螺丝,大家直接用原来的就可以。比如安装主板的三颗螺丝直接用就可以,还有一些外壳的固定也是用原螺丝就行,唯一需要的就是多配两个M3长螺丝,两个螺母,四个M3短一点螺丝就行了。整体安装没有难度,大家放心。
- 有四个金属线圈目的是用来检测拓竹官方耗材,如果你平常不用官方耗材,可以直接忽略。不会有任何问题。
- 容易忽略的一点,要把X轴电机线夹上面一点,当X轴电机运动到最右边时电机线可能会绕在龙门架后面,造成电机线损伤。安装完一定多活动一下,XYZ轴各个限位都运动一下 确保安全。尤其是X轴
- 我这个特富龙管长度都进行了裁剪,因为原来的太长了。大家安装完之后可以适当的修剪,注意不要剪得太短。我这个当初设计的时候特意让AMS是垂直的状态,这样特富龙管道是最舒适的状态,原来的设计是稍微向前倾斜,可能会导致送料管一直是弯曲的状态,这个方案只要送料管长度裁剪合适,非常顺畅基本不会受弯。

Regarding installation:
- The overall modification plan is actually quite simple, with no major difficulties, so everyone can rest assured. It's basically just a matter of tightening a few screws.
- Before starting the modification, everyone should definitely watch Taulman's official AMS lite disassembly video. Even though disassembly is straightforward, if you haven't done it before, it's important to watch the official video to ensure no damage occurs.
- For most of the screws in my plan, you can simply reuse the original ones. For example, the three screws for installing the motherboard can be reused directly, and some of the shell fixings can also use the original screws. The only additional items needed are two extra long M3 screws, two nuts, and four slightly shorter M3 screws. The overall installation is not difficult, so everyone can feel at ease.
- There are four metal coils included to detect Taulman's official consumables. If you don't typically use official consumables, you can simply ignore them without any issues.
- One easily overlooked point is to raise the X-axis motor wire slightly. When the X-axis motor moves to the far right, the motor wire might wrap around the gantry, potentially causing damage. After installation, make sure to move the axes around a bit, testing the limits of the XYZ axes to ensure safety, especially the X-axis.
- I have already trimmed the length of the Teflon tube, as the original was too long. After installation, you can trim it further if needed, but be careful not to cut it too short. When I designed this, I intentionally positioned the AMS in a vertical state, making the Teflon tube in the most comfortable position. The original design had a slight forward tilt, which could lead to the feeding tube being constantly bent. With this setup, as long as the feeding tube length is appropriately trimmed, it should operate smoothly without bending.
