Description
My wife asked me for "something" to tie an inflatable balloon without having to tie a knot so that the balloon can be deflated after the party and reused later. And at the same time, so that the balloons can be hung on a string. And here is the result.
I first printed a model with a cone wall thickness of 1.5mm, but it felt too thin to me, although it works. Then I tried to model and print 1.68mm and 2.00mm, all printed from an older PETG spool and the 1.68mm model seems the best.
The 3mf file contains 3 printing plates divided by thickness. There are 4 pieces on each plate, the plates are ready to print by objects, that means each holder is printed at once.
Thoroughly degrease the print plate before printing. The print profile includes a setting for Generic PETG filament, where the plate temperature is set to 80°C to prevent the model from unsticking from plate during printing.
