i was asked to make a hitch for someone with oogie boogie so i put this together for them. they asked for me not to make the holes an to make it so they could drill the hole where the pin would go so i made it so he could do that, made it 2 pieces so it would be easier to print it all. when i printed the model i used white pla+ for the head an black pla+ for the hitch cover an then painted the head with glow in the dark paint an clear coated both. they wanted the head to be a bright neon green all the time is why i went with painting it with the glow in the dark paint so it would be the color they wanted an would glow in the dark at night. it turned out looking great but if i had to do it over i would have printed the head with glow in the dark filament an would make it so the head would have uv led embedded into the model so as long as there was power on the leds the head would naturally glow from it being charged continuously or at least that is the theory ive not got to try it on this model yet, but i have test it on others an it does work but each model will have to have its own placement an number of uv led to properly charge the model. if i end up making these changes to this one i'll update it with the updated models. also i tried to add non 3d printed parts it did list the hardware used, so i didnt add anything but the head is attached to the hitch cover with 3 m4x30 bolts. if u dont have m4 anything close to this size should work cause theres no threads modeled just tight fit. also one version u have to drill the hole for the hitch an i added another i threw together real quick using one someone else had made with spring loaded catch for the hitch holes but ive not tested this my self an with how its all one pice might be harder to print an take alot more support so i cant speak for how well that one will turn out.
