I love the look of printed labels, but I hated re-printing my bins whenever I needed to move my parts to a larger bin. I also hated how difficult it was to find consistent themed icons for all of the different kinds of screws and their drivers.
Print your labels once and transfer between bins when you need to increase / decrease storage capacity.
Assorted Gridfinity bins with label sockets built in are included, or generate your own bins with label sockets using “Gridfinity Extended”
Add the label socket to any 3D printed object, including other Gridfinity bins, using the included negative volume in your slicer.
Use the Customizer / OpenSCAD to generate custom labels of any size, larger or smaller.
Download the complete collection to combine any combination of fastener + driver + label text.
Boost MeAny and all boosts are greatly appreciated!
Mix and match screw types and driver types:
I generated a huge variety of screw types and driver types and to use them simply add them to your slicer and combine them, making hundreds of combinations possible!
I've added several print profiles for you to use, but these are just for convenience and you are free to create whatever labels your hardware requires.
Available icons currently in the collection:
Screw types:
Machine screw with round head
Machine screw with socket head
Machine screw with pan head
Machine screw with countersunk head
Tapping / wood screw with round head
Tapping / wood screw with socket head
Tapping / wood screw with pan head
Tapping / wood screw with countersunk head
Partially threaded machine screw with round head
Partially threaded machine screw with socket head
Partially threaded machine screw with pan head
Partially threaded machine screw with countersunk head
Flange head (combine with any fastener head above except countersunk)
Pre-made bins are available in heights from 3U to 10U:
1x1
1x2
1x3
2x1
2x2
2x3
3x1
3x2
Compatible with almost any bin using negative volumes
In the collection I include a vertical and horizontal negative volume STEP file which you can use in your slicer to carve out the required space for the labels to be placed.
Slicer settings:
If the default settings cause labels to be too tight or too loose I recommend the following settings in your slicer:
Elephant Foot Compensation: Start with default (0.15) and increase/decrease if the snap fit is too tight/loose.
Brim: Disabled
Wall Generator: Arachne
Prime Tower: Optional, but recommended
Layer Height:
0.2mm nozzle: 0.1mm layer heights
0.4mm nozzle: 0.2mm layer heights
How to download the complete collection:
It's not very obvious how to download the .zip file containing all of the .step files needed to create your own labels, so here are some instructions.
Click “Download or Print” and then “Download STL”
Click the download icon next to “Complete Collection”

Request screw / driver / hardware icons in the comments! I'll do my best to add them to the collection and list you as the requestor.
SMD / THT icons (resistors, capacitors, etc.)
PCB / Arduino
XT60 / XT90 connectors and other power connectors
Wing Nut and Carriage Bolts - Requested by naked-roots on Reddit.
GFLABEL by Nicholas Devenish - A python script to generate click labels as seen here, or “Pred" style labels, also includes other icons such as resistors and other electrical components which I haven't implemented yet.
