storage box with print in place origami top

Origami style lid. Some assembly required. not entirely print in place. The hinges are print in place.

No support needed.

screws:

is designed to use 2 m3 x 12mm long screws and 2 m2 x 8mm long screws it works without the screws. the screws are to strengthen the pins at edge of the cover and the handle. After the cover is installed in the box screw the M3 screws from the bottom. The M2 screws attach the handle. Could use ¼-20 x ½ Inch long and #2 x ¼ Inch long

connectors optional:

the top surface has 3 panels on each side that are printed as one part. there are 2 briding part that allow the pattern to extend onto the other panels. for example the “Octogram Spiral” you can see the two versions in the attached photos. At one side of each of the hindges is a small part. this can be removed or marked as no print. With the connector the fill pattern extends to the other surface. WithOUT the connectors it starts a new pattern on the new surface. See the attached photos

mouse ears:

the edge of the box has a small circle at the corners to help with holding the part to the build plate. these circles are easy to rip off or you can tell Bambu studio not to print.

The images show the part with a prismatic pattern on the top surface. (the little colored circles) This is from a specialized build plate. Lots of different styles available.
