Blob Succulent Pots with Drip/Bottom-Watering Tray

Introducing the Blob Series of succulent/small plant pots! 

Coming in 4 sizes, these planters feature a sleek but curvy organic design. Pots are scaled appropriately to have roughly the same thickness of walls (150mm is slightly thinner to improve print time) and are tapered at the bottom to allow them to be easily printed upside down, without supports. Each pot fits into a matching tray and sits just above the tray bottom, allowing the soil to wick water up efficiently but not become musty against the bottom. Two holes allow water to flow in and out from the outer portion of the tray, which allows you to easily see when to stop watering, and also lets you to fill the tray and water from the bottom up. Trays also print without supports.

 

Design

*These pots feature a flared rim design to enhance bed adhesion - print the pots upside down.

*Outer portion of tray allows for easy bottom-watering and lets excess water evaporate, supporting healthy roots by preventing waterlogging

*Bottom of pot is slightly elevated above tray to allow oxygen into the root system

 

Sizes and Print Times

• Small: 80mm diameter (about 3.15 inches) – ~2 hours (Pot + Tray)
• Medium: 100mm diameter (about 3.94 inches) – ~3.5 hours
• Large: 120mm diameter (about 4.72 inches) – ~5 hours
• Extra Large: 150mm diameter (about 5.91 inches) – ~7 hours

Print Settings

The pots are recommended to be printed with at least 4 walls to guarantee water-tightness, while the trays should have at least 3 walls and 20-25% infill so they are strong enough to hold the pot.

No rafts or supports needed.
