Description
UPDATE: Guys, please don't bother with these. I've spent a long time testing them and can confidently say they make absolutely no difference. The 3V3 frame is quite strong. Â It MIGHT be useful if you have a very wobbly setup or other modifications that throw things off balance, but i have not seen a single difference with them on. Save your filament.Â
Â
I will leave this post up for edge cases that need them. Click my profile to see newer & actually useful modifications for the 3V3. :)Â
This is a set of mounts to add support rods to the gantry of the Ender 3 V3 (Core XZ. The support rods are designed to reduce the amount of wobble in the gantry, which can improve print quality. It uses 3/8" threaded rods OR M10 threaded rods.Â
Â
EDIT: Added new files for M10 rod support. Thank you to spartak4802 for help testing metric files.Â

| Part | Quantity |
|---|---|
| 430mm 3/8" or M10 Threaded Rod | 2 |
| Washer | 6 |
| 3/8" or M10 Nuts | 4 |
| 3/8" or M10 Cap Nut | 2 |
| M3*8 Screws (Any Kind) | 2 |
| Heatshrink Tube | 1 Meter |
**Please Note:** *The heatshrink is **NOT** optional unless you move your filament sensor somewhere else. Those wires will be torn up by the threaded rod otherwise. Tape it. Wrap it. Do something but do not leave it bare. You have been warned.*
Â
Aliexpress Heatshrink:
Â
Â
- No supports on top mounts. Lots of support on base mounts.
- Lots of walls
- 15% infill minimum
- PLA works fine. Any material should work. There is no heat or heavy strain on any of the parts.
