Bambu Lab A1 Integrated LED Light Bar

Description:

Brighten up your print bed with this custom LED bar designed specifically for the Bambu Lab A1!

This unique design embeds the LED strip inside the printed part for a clean, diffused look. It mounts directly to the printer frame and includes a custom housing for an on/off switch that screws into the existing frame holes.

Bill of Materials (BOM):

• LED Strip: 30cm length (High density recommended).
• Switch: 1x Rocker Switch (Files included for Small or Large versions).
• Power: External Power Supply (compatible with your LED strip voltage).
• Mounting:
  • 2x Reinforcement screws (for the switch housing).
  • Double-sided tape (VHB recommended) for the bar.

Print Settings & The "Embedded" Trick: This model is designed to encase the LED strip.

1. Material 1 (Base): Use White PLA for the bottom part to reflect light forward.
2. Material 2 (Diffuser): Use Transparent/Clear PLA for the top layers.
3. Pause at Height: You must set a pause in your slicer right before the top layers begin.
   • Action: When paused, peel the adhesive backing off your 30cm LED strip and stick it inside the printed channel.
   • Resume: Continue printing the Transparent PLA over the LED strip to seal it in.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Print the Switch Housing: Choose the "Large" or "Small" file depending on the switch you bought.
2. Wiring: Solder the wires to the switch, leaving about 10-12 cm of cable between the switch and the LED bar.
3. Mount the Switch: The housing is designed to fit the existing holes on the Bambu Lab A1 frame. Use the 2 screws to secure it.
4. Mount the Bar: Apply strong double-sided tape to the back of the printed LED bar and stick it firmly to the printer frame.
5. Connect: Wire it to your power supply and enjoy the light!
