Simple A1mini Cable Chain for Heatbed. (A1mini ready, ≈ 40g)
Only 16 chain links and 15 lids are required, but I added 18 of both as they do not require much filament. Sometimes, little adhesion problems will ruin the look and functionality of a chain link or lid.
Removing supports of the bed anchor can be quite tricky and will require some form of tweezers!
Installation:
- First install the base and bed anchor, which should fit perfectly (don't worry too much about the cables, as they will fit into place “automatically”).
- Attach 16 links to each other and both anchors. (The open side should face “inside”. See my pictures). The links could also be attached one by one with alternating “openings”, I just did not like the look of it. Try it out and decide for yourself.
- Push the bed back as far as possible for easy installation of the lids. Because of their size they are quite fragile so be careful while installing or disassembly.
