Description

UPDATE  16-07-2025:

Added print profile for 11.2/12oz cans. If you have printed the 16.9oz version and want 11.2oz, you can print only the container and riser.

UPDATE  16-09-2024:

Added riser for 16oz cans. Reduced the lid internal diameter so it can accommodate the riser when not in use. The changes are backwards compatible and if you have the container printed, print the riser and the lid only.

Are you tired of your drinks warming fast on the beach or until you get to your favorite spot? Don't suffer anymore! Here is The Cool Can Container!

Features:

  • Hybrid design insulated can holder with a screw lid. It can be used as a koozie and cool container.
  • Lightweight - no water/ice, foam. Just plain air, which is a perfect heat insulator.
  • The cans are firmly secured inside the container.
  • It features an 8mm double wall with air pockets providing adequate heat insulation. The air pockets minimize air movement hindering heat transfer by convection.
  • Compatible with most can lids on MakerWorld.

Field testing:

To verify the design's heat insulation properties I've used two full 500ml cans of beer cooled to 7°C. One was in the container and the other was not. I've placed the cans in a shade on a 35°C summer day. Then I measured the liquid temperature until the 13°C unpleasant drinking temperature was reached. After one hour the bare can reached 13°C, and the one in The Cool Can Container! just 9°C.*

Cheers! :)

*The test data is for the provided print profile.
