Universal Brother label DK Spool

First of all thanks for the initial spool design.

Description:

I expanded the design, so now every roll size can be used in your Brother Label Printer with just one spool.

The spool has one left side part and two right sides, a short (for the smallest rolls e.g.: 17mm width labels) and a flexible longer versions.

The sides connect together with magnets. There are also identifier plates which connect to the right sides. This is for the printer to know which roll is used.

Parts needed additionally:

left side: 8x2mm magnet

right sides: 2 8x3mm magnet; 4 4x2mm; superglue

identifier Plates: 2 4x2mm magnet for each plate (depending on how many plates you need)

Assembly:

press the magnets 8x3mm in the top of the flexible axe and the short right side. Then press the 8x2mm magnet in the hole of the left side. Be careful to press them in with the correcht orientation for connection. The right sides should connect to the left sides.

Then strech out the flexible axe and glue it in the ring on the right side plate.

Now you cann glue the guides at the back of the right sides.

Two 4x2mm can now be glued in the two holes at the bottom of the right sides. be careful that they have the same orientation.

For the Identiefier plates you can now place to 4x2mm magnet on the existing 2 magnets and press the pate on the two magnets. They should hold without glue.

If other magnets do not hold, just use the superglue.
